Meaning of HIB Grade Report and the Relationship to School Self-Assessments and Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act


The NJDOE has outlined 8 core elements with indicators designed to prevent and address acts of Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying (HIB) which may occur in a school.  As required by the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights (ABR) Act, each school performs a self-assessment to evaluate its trainings and programs that support these core elements.  The NJDOE analyzes the school’s input and determines a score, the maximum of which is 78, and the ABR directs every school to post this score on its website.  Our most recent HIB grade report, released to the public on May 11, 2022, is available by clicking the link below.
