Meaning of HIB Grade Report and the Relationship to School Self-Assessments and Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act

The NJDOE has outlined 8 core elements with indicators designed to prevent and address acts of Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying (HIB) which may occur in a school.  As required by the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights (ABR) Act, each school performs a self-assessment to evaluate its trainings and programs that support these core elements.  The NJDOE analyzes the school’s input and determines a score, the maximum of which is 78, and the ABR directs every school to post this score on its website.
